Well I have been slacking obviously! I really wish I had the energy and desire to write on here. I have been reading a lot of others' blogs but I just don't have anything interesting to write about!

My mom is coming to visit tomorrow!!! I haven't seen her since the beginning of September and since then I have lost 90 lbs so I'm excited!! I can't believe it's tomorrow already. I am taking a week off of work and I REALLY can't wait for that. I need a vacation.

Then on May 2nd I am starting a part-time job at Hornbachers as a cashier. We are really behind on money right now and I think that will at least help us catch up and hopefully be able to pay off our credit cards eventually.

Our 3 year anniversary was yesterday. I can't believe we have been married 3 years already. I told him his gift was our new 800 dollars water heater lol. He made me an adorable handmade card! I loved it so much.

Well it's been 4 months to the day since my weight-loss surgery. I am doing awesome so far. Feeling really good. Haven't really been sick or anything. I have lost 60 lbs since the surgery and 90 since september. I kind of feel like it should be more than that but everyone tells me that it's good...

I really need some new clothes but we don't really have the money. I'm outgrowing (or shrinking out of them ha..) them faster than I'm buying them it seems like. I'm not complaining though!!

Well that's all I got for now maybe I will update more than once every 6 months.... hopefully.

Blizzards

I love that everyone else in the country is having blizzards and us up here in North Dakota aren't!! Heehehehehe! Although we have had some -40 below temps...no joke! I think I would rather take the blizzard thank you at least I would maybe get out of work. Although today is supposed to be 20 ABOVE I CAN'T wait!!! You know it's been cold when you can't wait for it to be 20 degrees! I might even be able to skip wearing my coat! :)

oh and a quick update on my weight. I saw the surgeon last monday and everything is going well. I saw the dietician this monday and she said I was doing everything perfectly and I didn't need to make any changes woot woot. Oh she told me I had to stop eating fruit :( boooo I love my apples! I can only have soft mushy fruit. poo. Anyways I weighed myself this morning and I am down 35 pounds from surgery (that doesn't sound like much ha) and down 65 from the start of my journey in September! That's pretty exciting!

Well I haven't updated on here for a little while and Carrie is starting to yell at me. We just got back from a funeral. Albert's Step-Grandma passed away. It was pretty awkward mainly because I am just a socially awkward person. I absolutely hate making small talk with people that I don't know. It was fun though we got to hang out with his little brother. Albert started taking pictures of him and then he kept saying take ONE more and One more turned into like 20 lol.

I went to the doctor yesterday. Everything went good. I have lost 50 lbs since my first consult with him which was in like August. Ugh seems like not very much. It seems like it's coming off so slow even though I am down 26. I have just been at a stall forever and it feels like it will never come off. He seemed surprised that my incisions were already healed all the way. I was thinking are they supposed to be gaping holes or what? Sorry that's gross.

I don't know why the title of this is Noodles... I just find that to be a hilarious word.

I got a letter from someone from Canada today in the mail. It got me excited to start writing to people again! I have a ton of paper and stuff to use up but no money for stamps haha!

I have been trying to convince Albert to move to Colorado... I don't think he is going for it so much... ugh lame lol. I wish it would be so easy to move down there I want to be close to my mom so bad! I hate that I only get to see her like twice a year. It just isn't enough for me!

Oooh we finally got Dish Network! I have been doing nothing but watching tv.... definitely not good! I am in love with the DVR! Oh DVR how I have missed youuuuuu. I get to watch ellen everyday! So happy!

I started painting our extra bedroom on Sunday. I painted it a lightish purple and then a shelf part on our wall I painted an eggplant purple. I'm so excited to get finished and get the new comforter in there! I need to find some curtains too.

Well Alberto and I are going to watch american pickers and I am hungry so ta ta for now!

Stupid Flu

Hello hello!!!!! Well today was supposed to be my first day back at work but after my shower this morning I got super dizzy and felt like I had to throw up! Lame! I did actually end up throwing up which sucked and I had a fever of 101. So I decided to stay hoome from work. It bums me out because I didn't want an unplanned absence so early in the year but oh well whatcha gonna do?

Anyway I weighed myself this morning and I am down 24 lbs since the day of surgery which makes it 54 lbs total! Albert says he can tell but I can't yet really. I know my shirt is a little looser but my jeans feel the same. My rings are also looser. I need to start taking some more pictures so I have some to compare. I have just been super lazy haha! Today was supposed to be my first real start of the year! I was going to go to the grocery store after work and then work out but I think that is going to have to wait until tomorrow....oh well haha.

I sabotage my husbands food

Alright so I don't know if sabotage is the right word but today I was making lasagna for him and I bought the cheapest hamburger possible because I knew I wouldn't eat it if I used that because i'm kind of a snob and I only really like the super lean expensive stuff. Which is really all I should be eating anyway. Then I put a ton of jalapenos in it. I can do some jalapenos but not a lot. Then when I was chopping up the hamburger I kept it in a little bigger pieces since I like it chopped super fine. Haha!

I don't really think it's sabotage though since Albert doesn't really mind the cheap hamburger or the big chunks of hamburger and he absolutely loves jalapenos. I think I may find myself doing that with a lot of other food that I make for him that I won't be able to eat. Just because I don't really want to be tempted by it.

So anywhoooo I weighed myself this morning and I have lost 20 lbs since the day of surgery on 12/20/10. I have lost 50 lbs total since starting the optifast in september and I am down 70 from my highest weight ever. I still don't feel any different though really.

I have been eating a lot of chili lately. I eat about 4 oz at a time with cheese for more protein. I have also been adding powdered milk to stuff to get more protein. Protein Protein Protein! I'm supposed to get 60-70 grams of protein a day but it is super hard. I am pretty close but still behind. Hopefully I will be able to get it by the time I see the dietician on the 24th.

Tomorrow I am getting a permanent retainer put in at the dentist. I had invisiligns to move my front teeth together because I had a big space and now I wear retainers at night but when I take them out in the morning my teeth move apart right away. My choices were either to wear the retainers 24 hours a day for 9-12 months with no guarantee that they would still stay together or get a permanent retainer put in. So I just chose the permanent one. I'm pretty excited!

Well I gotta go finish sabotaging albert's food hehe.

So I am feeling pretty well today so far. I am a bit crabby though maybe I didn't get enough sleep. Albert will be home all day until 4 when he works at the grocery store.

Anyway I figured out yesterday that I can eat pureed foods now not just liquids so that is awesome. On the Pureed foods list was a lightly scrambled egg. So I made one yesterday but I think it was a little too dry. I only ate probably 1/4 of it. I am finding it quite difficult to get in my protein. I got probably 40 grams yesterday and I should get around 65 to 70. Hopefully I do better today.

So here is what I ate yesterday....
2 Oz of sugar free jello
a protein powder packet mixed with crystal light which was 12 gm of protein
Then I had a cappucino protein drink that wasn't very good but I had 4 oz of that which was 12 gm of protein but then I mixed it with milk that was 4 gm of protein I think? Then I had the scrambled egg with a teeny tiny bit of cheese which was 3 gm of protein.

I also drank a ton of crystal light yesterday. I still don't know if I am drinking or eating enough but I'm trying to keep track of it the best that I can.

I weighed myself yesterday and I had gained 7 lbs since the day of surgery and today I am down 3 from yesterday so that was nice. I'm not really supposed to weigh myself eve ryday I'm sure but I just HAVE to even if it is a gain and not a loss I need to know! haha.

I'm Home from Surgery!!

Hello everyone! I am home from surgery! I went in yesterday at 5:00 AM for Gastric bypass Surgery. I got into surgery at about 9:00 and I was out by 10:30 I think? I don't really remember. Everything went great. I have 5 small incisions about the size of quarters all over my stomach. I didn't sleep very well last night but that's to be expected. I couldn't have anything to drink or eat until 9 AM this morning. I then got to have a glass of ice water, 8 oz of Chicken broth I had about 3 teaspoons of it though, a little tiny cup of apple juice that I drank and a little cup of jello that I had two bites or so of. I didn't order any of that stuff they just brought it to me I guess. I am extremely tired right now so If I dont make any sence that is why!

I got home from the hospital at about 4 pm tonight. I have been drinking crystal light and I had 1 oz of beef broth and a sugar free banana popcicle that was delish!

I am actually feeling really really really good but I am soooo very tired! I can't wait to go to bed. I just wanted to do a quick update on here. The surgery went very well. Exactly as expected .I think I have to be on a liquid diet for two weeks or so then I can go to soft and pureed foods.

They gave me some pain meds which is in liquid form. Not very good tasting but oh well I will take it haha!

Anyways I am doing pretty well I will try to update sometime soon when I am more awake!

So to start off you know what annoys me??? When someone leaves work early to go to the bar or for no apparent reason whatsoever just because they don't want to work. Mainly because I can't do it too so I'm jealous.... yes im selfish.

So I just realized I have a ton of stuff that I still have to get done before Christmas. I still have to buy gifts for pretty much everyone. I'm not buying them for a bunch of people but I have Carri, Heidi, Amber, and Tracy. I might get Albert a couple more things I haven't decided and I already got him CD's which I already gave him.

I am hoping to get my shopping done tonight and then get them all wrapped and stuff this weekend. I should also clean my house because I want to get it super clean before my surgery so I don't have to worry about it BUTTT I will probably wait until next weekend just because im sure it will just get super messy again this week. I'm not sure how it gets so messy with only two people and no kids but im guessing it's because im lazy.

Anywhoo just wanted to do a quick update. Are YOU ready for Christmas yet??

4 Months not smoking...How do I feel?

Well tomorrow marks my 4 month anniversary since I quit smoking. Let me tell you it feels like a lot longer. In my head it feels like a year or longer for some reason. I'm not gonna lie I still miss it sometimes. Lately it has been more often for some reason. The biggest triggers for me are seeing people smoking in movies and on tv which I find really strange but for some reason they apparently make it look "cool" haha. Also, I guess pretty much just everytime I see someone smoking. I try to pretend and say that doesn't bother me but it really sort of does. I don't want people to NOT smoke in front of me just because I quit though so I just say it doesn't bother me.

I know it's super strange but I still really love the smell of it too! I have always loved the smell of cigarette smoke which I know is strange. My parents would go out to the bar when I was younger and of course they would smell like smoke when they got home and I absolutely LOVED that smell. But I have also discovered that there is a good smoke smell and a bad smoke smell.

Anyhow I know that when I first quit I noticed that my taste and smell changed quite a bit. It just got to where things tasted and smelled stronger. Overall I feel pretty much the same though.

I wouldn't say quitting smoking was all that difficult for me. It still sucks. However I quit in August then in September I had to go on my liquid diet so i was more obsessed with wanting food than smoking! I think "quitting" food is much much much much harder than quitting smoking! So in a way that's a hidden blessing because that liquid diet helped me sooo much just to take my mind off smoking.

Also, I think that electronic cigarette that I used helped a lot as well. It helped with the Habit of it mostly. I think I used that for about a month or so.

I'm not sure if the craving for it will ever really go away completely and that kind of scares me... but so far I am doing well and I am super proud of myself for sticking to it this long!

Hey guys I know I'm going overboard with posts tonight but hey I need to catch up right? Anyways I just have some pictures of the cats and some pictures from when we went to Colorado in September. Not too terribly exciting but thought I would share some!

Before I started telling people that I was going to have gastric bypass surgery I was definitely worried what people would think about me and my decision. I realize that not everyone (hardly anyone that I have come across) agrees with having gastric bypass surgery. I totally used to be one of those people. I have noticed that a lot of people that disagree with it are people that have never actually had a problem being severely overweight or obese. Not all, but a lot of them. It just makes it super difficult. There are a few different types of people that I have run into:

1. The people that outright say that they don't think I should do it.

2. There are those that you can just tell when you say gastric bypass that they don't approve of it or they think that you are just lazy etc.

3. There are those that have had it done and they obviously totally say go for it. I have yet to come across one person that has had the surgery that has regretted it. I know that there are some people that I'm sure do regret it though I just haven't come across any.

4. Lastly there are my family members... I feel like none of them approve of the surgery except for my husband which makes me very sad but at the same time it makes me determined to say "I told you so" ha.

Whenever people find out that I am having surgery I can just hear it in their voice like oh.... you are having surgery you lazy POS. I know it sounds like I am judging and maybe I am. I don't mean to, but this is what I honestly "see" and hear in people's faces and voices when they find out. Which is why I haven't told a lot of people that I know because it just makes me depressed knowing yet another person disapproves of it. I don't care if people know about it but I just hate to see their reaction to it.

I am also sick of the skinny b*tches that try to talk me out of having the surgery. These people haven't ever had an ounce of fat on them in their whole entire lives and they say all these bad things about it.Ugh Annoying.

However, I do have absolutely fabulous friends like Carrie, Heidi, and Amber and many more that I know will support me in any decision I make. I am so lucky to have such awesome friends that I know I can talk to about anything and I know they would do anything and everything for me in a heartbeat! (I just wish Carrie still lived up here in the arctic with us :( hint hint Carrie!) haha!

Now I realize that this surgery isn't a miracle cure. They call the first 9 months the "honeymoon" period. You basically lose all of your weight in the first year and it tends to be the easiest because you supposedly aren't hungry and the weight is just falling off. I know that if you aren't very careful the weight could definitely come back. You need to exercise and eat right for the rest of your life. The surgery is more like a tool to help you to change your eating habits and I kind of think of it as "starting over". I know it is going to be a very difficult journey but I know with my determination and the support of my friends and family I can definitely do it.

Okay sorry if I sounded mean, but I am honestly scared of what will happen if I DON'T do something about it now. I just want to be able to get healthy and have a new lease on life. I want to be able to go to a store and not be constantly thinking that I am not as good as the skinny girl standing across from me. I want to not constantly think that people are staring at me thinking omg she is gross she is ugly she is fat she is lazy.I know I shouldn't care what other people think and who knows maybe they aren't really thinking that but I can't help it.

In all reality all I should care about is what God thinks about me. His opinion is really the only one that matters in the end. I know he will be with me through this whole entire thing and he will help me through everything that I face, because he never gives us anything that we can't handle!

I could really use all of the thoughts and prayers that I can get through the next few weeks and months though! Love you all!

15 days and counting....

Well I celebrated my 23rd Birthday yesterday. It was pretty close to my best birthday ever! I got a ton of gifts from some friends at work, Albert gave me CD's, My mom and Grandma sent me cards and money. Albert and I went around to pawn shops looking at used DVDS I think we bought 18 DVDs ha. We went to Paradiso for supper. I was planning on having a Margarita but then when we got there I didn't feel like drinking so I didn't...I am lame.

We had my work Christmas Party at Speak Easy on Friday night. It was pretty fun. We were sat at two different tables so pretty much all of the younger workers were at one table and the older ones at the other like last year. Lately at work it's been the young people against the older people ha. I pretty much feel the same about everyone...they all annoy me!! Well except for a select few....like 2. I need a job where I don't have any coworkers heh. Heidi said I would be a complete Recluse then...that is probably true but I would still love it.

Today we figured out that Ella is eating the carpet off of their scratching post so albert is recarpeting it. The little turd! One of them has been puking all over and I was pretty sure it was Simon but it must be her too. I know I have caught Simon but then she did it today. Well jeeze if you eat carpet you will probably throw up! ugh I want a carpet cleaner for Christmas!

Well it is now 15 days and counting until my surgery. I am super excited! My mom told me yesterday that she won't be coming. I am just praying I'm not in a ton of pain because Albert has the 20th off which is the day of my surgery. Then on the 21st he works from 6:15 am to 2:15 pm then he is scheduled to work at 4:00 pm. (he didn't take it off because we thought my mom would be here) Soooo he asked someone if they could work for him at 4:00 so he would be able to pick me up from the hospital and bring me home but that person doesn't know if he can yet. So I am hoping I will be able to be discharged before 2:15 that day so he can swing by and pick me up and take me home then if he has to work he would be able to make it on time hopefully.

They say if everything goes all right I should be able to leave the next day around 1:00 but I don't think Hospitals are ever on time haha.

Anyways I am super super excited but also very scared! I mean there are a ton of things that could go wrong and I'm scared something will go wrong once I'm home and I won't notice until it's too late or something. I think that's my biggest fear.

Anyways I am uploading some pictures of the kidz and from our trip to Colorado in September...I know I know it's about time!

I'm hoping to blog a lot more frequently about my weight loss journey in the next coming weeks and months!

Best Digital camera for cheap?????

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving? tell me tell me I want to know! Well since there is a blizzard moving into the area and Albert has to work AND we have to pay close to 800 dollars to get his car fixed today we are staying home. It will be pretty much our first holiday alone without family which is sort of sad but kind of exciting. I already put our tree up. It's our first one that we have had so I was excited to get it up and I love it! It doesn't have ornaments on it just a fake tree with lights on it already. So Albert has to work until 4 and then we are going to make pizza corner pizza which is the most amazing pizza ever and drink a bottle of grape wine that we got in Colorado. we will probably watch a movie too.

I am hoping to get the house cleaned tonight so that I can enjoy the weekend in a nice clean house! However I don't know if that's going to happen haha! We shall see. I want to get some pictures printed at Walmart of the snow to send to my mom and Ron's family in Colorado but we will see if that happens too since we don't really have any extra money. Boo.

Oh so the whole point of this blog was to see if anyone knows of a super great digital camera for cheap. I want to get a new camera in December when we get some extra money. First I was thinking about getting some kind of Nikon SLR camera but we just can't afford that so I am going to have to go with a regular digital camera unfortunately. However, I know some really good photographers say they have taken some great pictures with a regular point and shoot camera. I think it's mainly the picture taker not the camera haha. I don't think i would have enough patience to learn an SLR camera anyway. Soooooo Does anyone know of any really really good digital cameras but it has to be semi cheap like under $300 hopefully. Anyone? Anything?

How many people are going shopping on black Friday???? I was going to go to Walmart at midnight to get the cheap DVD's but we probably won't do that now either :( oh well.

Hello everyone!! How's it going? what is everyone doing for the weekend?? I don't have any immediate plans. I think I want to write some letters to some of my penpals that haven't heard from me in a long time. I feel horrible for not writing to them! So I might do that this weekend. I woke up this morning with a horrible sore throat so I just want to go home and take a nap.

I am half way done with the 5th book in the Janet Evanovich, Stephanie plum series. I absolutely love these books. has anyone else read them? I sent the first one to Carrie to start reading so SHE BETTER BE READING IT!!! haha. I hope she likes them as much as I do!!

Ahhh I feel horrible I haven't wrote on here forever and ever and I haven't wrote to any of my penpals lately either! :( sorry guys I just have not felt like writing at all! Ugh I have been in a reading mood lately....

Hmm here are some updates about me.
1. I am still smoke free since August 7th... I'm not sure how many days that is but it feels like a heck of a lot longer than 3 months!

2. To date I have lost 30 lbs. 4 days ago I stopped the optifast shakes because they are just too freaking expensive!! $165 a week is just too hard on us. SOO I have started eating 900 calories or less a day which is how many I was taking in with the shakes and I have tried to eat well balanced meals along with vitamins. Before any of you jump on me for only eating 900 calories I AM still seeing a doctor every other week so it is supervised!! I just started though so I'm not sure if it's still working the same.

3. I have my surgery set for December 20th of this year. However I keep thinking that what if I can do this 900 calorie thing no problem and lose the weight on my own? Should I still do the surgery or should I just keep up with the change of eating habits? How long will I continue with it? Ugh I know albert really wants me to get it done and I have already come so far with getting all of my doctor's appointments out of the way and my mom will be coming up to take care of me...Ugh I don't know what I'm going to do. I go see my surgeon at the end of November so I guess I will see where I am then. I suppose I can always back out until the last day but I know Albert would be super dissapointed but on the other hand there are people that say oh you can do it by yourself you can do it! Ugh I don't know what to do....

4. Hmm what else? I got my hair cut really short and I absolutely love it!! It's getting a little long now but I don't want to go get it cut again because it's only been less than 6 weeks! My hair grew super fast though!

EEK I know I haven't wrote on here in forever I need to write about our Colorado trip and stuff but I only have 8 minutes haha. I just thought I would update a little bit. So it has been 41 days since I quit smoking.... it's still super hard some days. It's mainly just getting over the routine of wake up....smoke.....eat....smoke....eat......smoke.... Anyhow so I already said I am planning on having gastric bypass surgery and they have set a tentative date of December 2nd. That is IF I can lose 50 lbs by then. So I have started on Optifast. I have to drink 5 disgusting shakes a day and 1 gross peanutbutter chocolate bar.... yes it sounds good but it's NOT. The shakes are either Strawberry, Chocolate, or Vanilla. I have found that Chocolate and Vanilla mixed with Coffee make it somewhat tolerable but I have no idea how the heck I am going to do this for 10 weeks. The only other food I can eat is Celery, Peppers, Onions, Cucumbers, and pickles...... ugh shoot me now...

Yesssssssssss we leave for our trip on Friday! I can NOT wait! Ahhhh I can hardly stand it. I don't know how I am going to survive work this week. So we he been trying to sell stuff on Craigslist this week to get a little bit of extra money but it's not going too well.... We are trying to sell all of our VHS movies, a mini fridge, end table, foot massage thing, and two dvd towers. Someone is coming to look at the fridge tonight when Albert gets home from work and someone is coming to look at the movies tomorrow. I just want them gone! UGH. Oh I am trying to sell my keyboard and clarinet too but that's not happening either. I wish I would have posted that stuff two weeks ago before people started school! Oh well live and learn....

So it's been like 22 or so days of No smoking! I must admit it still sucks balls. I hear that little urge never goes away. It's not like it's super strong but it's always this nagging feeling just saying hey just go outside just for one........just one. NO!!! But I really really really really really wish I could have just ONE! I am going to give all of my left over packs of cigarettes to my mom when we go out there.....just thinking about doing that gives me a panic attack. It's not like I can't just go buy another pack if I NEED to but just having them there is like well I could have one if I wanted to but I CHOOSE not to. Ugh I'm weird I know. I'm going to go and find something to eat....

Project Night Light

Well we just got home from church and we had a lady from church speak about her ministry. Her name is Pebbles and she is super cute! She has a husband and 4 kids of their own. They have a ministry called Project Night Light. Now all of the information that I put in here I got off of their website at ndnightlight.org.

Project Night-Light is a faith based organization that provides children with important items needed when examined at local Children's Advocacy Centers around the United States for sexual abuse, physical abuse, or neglect.

Right now they are only distributing bags in North Dakota but in January they will be taking on Minnesota. They aren't sure how they are going to do this yet, but with God's help I know they will be able to do it. They figure they will need $180,000 dollars to make it work.

So basically what they do is they fill a little bag called a "Bag of Hope" with a list of items and they give them to children that have been raped/abused that are brought to advocacy centers. The list of items that come in each bag are:

a Fleece tie Blanket- When someone makes a blanket for this project they are asked to pray over every corner that they work on so that no blanket is the same and the child has all of these prayers over them :)

Pajamas/Socks/Underwear- After a child is brought to the advocate center they are photographed and questioned so they can make a case against the child's abuser. Most of the time the child's clothes are taken in as evidence and sometimes they have to be sent home in a hospital gown. PNL wants to give kids a NEW pair of pajamas that they can wear and feel comfortable in. They wrap the undergarments in the pajamas so the kids don't have to go through any further embarrassment.

2-in-1 Shampoo/Conditioner- Most of the time these kids are physically dirty when they go to the advocate center.

Toothbrush/Toothpaste- A lot of the kids have never had their own toothbrush... something that we all take for granted.

Fruit Snacks/ Water Bottle

Flashlight- A lot of the abuse these kids suffer is in the dark. They are afraid of the dark and this gives them some sense of control. The light can light up the whole room for them.

As of today PNL has filled 1,042 bags since 2008. Now that might not seem like a whole lot but that is 1,042 children that get a little something to make them feel loved and special.

They fill the bags with different sizes of Pajamas and they said that size 3T and size 7 are the ones most often used.

Alright soooooo I have been posting stuff on craigslist to try to get some extra cash for when we leave for Colorado next friday!!! Woot woot! anywhooo I posted my college books from when I was in school in 2006 for medical transcription. Well this guy said he wanted one of them and I had it listed for 30 and he asked if he could get it for 25 and I said I would give it to him for 20 because it's not in the best shape plus it is super outdated. Anyhowww Alberto is at work and the guy wanted to pick it up today. So I told him I would be home from 4 to 5 if he wanted to come get it. I was planning on having a friend or something come over so I wouldn't be alone when he came because I'm a freak and I hate talking to people I don't know plus I didn't want to get shot or something... yes all of those things ran through my head.

Soooo when I got home I ran and got the book and put it in a plastic bag and put it on our step by the door. I then wrote a note that said sorry I had to run out if you want the book then please leave the money in the envelope taped to the door. IF I would have been selling something worth more than a book I wouldn't have done that but I thought well if he screws me over than oh well at least I won't get murdered. I realize he still knows where I live but you could find that on the internet so whatev. Sooooo about 15 minutes later I heard the doorbell ring and I waited a few minutes then I went out and he actually left the 20 dollars!! Yay for him! I'm glad there are still a few people left in this world you can trust :) Oh and he also wrote thank you on the piece of paper haha!! So now I have 20 dollars AND I didn't get murdered lol.

Random thoughts

So it is day 5 on my no smoking!! Yippee. I haven't even had a craving for one. Although it is so routine that after supper I grab one and go outside I have almost done that a couple times.

It is thundering out and I keep telling Heidi it is "tornado-ing". She is terrified of tornadoes so she tells me to shut up.

We got our door handle fixed on the truck FINALLY!!! It has been broke forever and when you would try to unlock it the drivers side door wouldn't unlock and it got to the point where you had to go to the passengers side or open it from the back door but my arms are too chubby and short and they couldn't reach!! So we got it fixed for 100 dollars but it was definitely well worth it.

So anyways I was thinking it would really suck if a tornado came and swept our truck away because that would have been a total waste of $100. I know tornadoes are really dangerous and not a laughing matter so don't get mad at me it was just a thought that popped into my head lol.

Hmmm no other news for now.

Hello everyone!! I haven't been on here for a long while. I've just kind of gotten sick of the internet. I'm not really sure why it is just boring to me right now. I'm more into reading. I got through these little spurts once in a while where I don't like going on the internet at all. I just wanted to share some stuff though!

So i'm going on 72 hours of not smoking! Woot woot! Well sort of... I got an electronic cigarette and it is Ah-Maz-Ing! I have not had even ONE craving for a cigarette. I however HAVE been using the e-juice WITH nicotine once in a while BUT at least I'm not getting those thousands of chemicals and tar and junk with it! So the one I got is at www.volcanoecigs.com The best part is the cartridges come in different flavors! Watermelon is by far my favorite so far and I thought I would like it the least! There is a bit of a learning curve when you first get it but it's super easy!

If you ever plan on getting one I highly suggest this one! Also it's definitely not like smoking a cigarette. I tend to vape a whole lot more than I smoked and you take long slow drags off of it. If I think I am going to be vaping for a long time though I will throw in a cartridge without Nicotine. So I don't rely on that. Lets see.... I don't know what else to tell you but I am super stoked about this thing! I love it.!!

Okay next thing is I am getting weight loss surgery! I have been going through the whole pre-process which includes dietician visits, psychological examination, quitting smoking of course, and next I have to meet with the Surgeon for a consult. Then we will decide what is the best type of surgery. I'm leaning towards gastric bypass. Then he will submit it to insurance and if it gets pre-approved I'm ready to go.

Now I know some people don't believe in surgery. I didn't either. I swore I would never ever do it but I just can't do it alone. I think this will be a good tool for me for the rest of my life. My doctor said this is the best option for me if we want to try to have kids within a couple years.

So I will try to blog about my progress before and after the surgery along with how my quitting smoking is going.

Anyways I don't really have anything else to say and I better get to work! We are super super super busy this week with people on vacation yay!

I know I haven't been updating on here very often I just don't have anything exciting to say. However today is my BFF Carrie's birthday!! Yay she is 22 today. I just wish she lived in North Dakota instead of Texas so we could go to Paradiso for some Mexican food and Margaritas ohhh and queso dip yummm!! :( HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARRIE!!

I got to leave work at 12 today to go to a funeral. Albert's grandma passed away so her funeral was today. It was interesting. The service was very nice. I am so uncomfortable around his family though so it was a long day but it was nice too. Am I the only one that is uncomfortable around their spouses family? lol. I feel like I am.

Anywhoo then after the funeral we ate some lunch and drove to his uncles house to pick up a propane tank that he is now playing with and I'm just waiting for him to blow himself up. In fact I haven't heard him out there for a while....I hope he's okay. I will check on him when I'm done with this.

Oh and our driver's seat in our truck broke!! UGh I don't know what happened but anyway it will be $750 to fix it. OUCH!! So I guess it will be broke for a long time. Our door handle is also broke but we are getting that fixed because it's annoying the crap out of me. That's going to cost 100 dollars that we don't have but we have to get it fixed.

Then after we went to his uncle's house we drove to my dad's house and spent some time with him. I always feel bad leaving his house :( I need to get down to see him more often. He only lives like 60 miles away I should really go there more.

I got bit up by mosquitos!! Ugh I hate mosquito bites!! So we put on about 280 miles today. I'm tired but hungry. I'm waiting for Albert to come in so we can eat. Well I better get going and see if he's still alive lol.

Justice for Star

Hey guys how is everyone doing? I haven't wrote on here for a while I just really haven't had anything to say! Anyways there has been an article that keeps coming up in our local newspaper and it just breaks my heart! It's about a dog named Star in Minnesota who's owner got frustrated because she wasn't listening and he slit her throat and left her to die. You can go HERE to see the whole story and for some other information.

I just wanted to ask you guys if you could sign this petition. It is being presented to the court so HOPEFULLY this guy will get the maximum penalty which is a felony, 2 years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine. I think he needs a lot more than that! What would you do?

Did everyone have a fabulous weekend? I did although we didn't do anything... We cleaned the house yesterday morning so it's going to be so nice to come home to a clean house today!

Anyways I am just curious what you would do in this scenario. Alright say you go to Walmart or really any store and you buy 3 cases of pop/soda and put them in the bottom rack of your cart plus you get a whole bunch of other groceries. So you get up to the check-out and you tell the checker that you have pop on the bottom and ask if she can just scan it so you don't have to lift it up on the counter. She says yes. Okay now what if she forgets to scan the pop and you don't realize it until you are outside.... what would you do??

Now this didn't happen to me but it happened to someone else that I know.. She just said sweet and left on her merry way. Now I'm not really sure what I would do. I would like to think that I would go back in and say something but I just don't know... There isn't a very good chance that it would happen to me though because if I put something down there I usually lift it up on the counter or I think about it until the cashier scans it just because I don't want to have that happen.

I'm just curious what you guys would do :)

Have you ever known someone that was a one-upper? You know the ones where you say "oh I'm tired today" then they say "well I'm soo very tired I only got 5 hours of sleep last night" When you weren't even talking to them in the first place? You could say "Yeah I was out of the office with pneumonia" and they had pneumonia twice as long and worse than yours.

Those people annoy me. It doesn't bother me so much if a person does it once in a while I'm sure I have even done it but it's just those people that do it ALL of the time. Every time you say something they come back with something about their kids are worse, their husband is worse, they have been sicker, they have been screwed over worse, they have ran farther, they have talked louder, they have done better, they always have worse problems than you do or better things than you do. Oh and they are ALWAYS right.

Also the people that feel the need to be on the opposite side of the argument all of the time even if they don't believe the side they are arguing for.

These are the things that are annoying me at this very moment...

Hello everyone! I just came across this blog bash and it sounds like so much fun. Sooo here is a little bit about me.

My name is Katie and I am 22 years old. I got married 2 years ago to my husband Albert. We bought our first house 3 months later. We have 3 cats who are very very spoiled! Their names are Peanut, Simon, and Ella. We don't have any children yet due to some infertility issues. I am an only child and my husband was an only child until 4 years ago. His little brothers name is Daniel. I love to read all kinds of books, surf the internet, read other blogs, mail art, and write letters. My mom is pretty much my best friend but she lives in Colorado with her husband so I don't get to see her very often. I miss her lots! My BFF is Carrie but she just moved to Texas a couple weeks ago so now I don't get to see her either :(

1.) Why do you blog?- It's just fun. I like to write whats on my mind so I don't have to blow up at other people with my pent up anger haha. I tend to hold it all inside for a long time and it's nice to get it out on here.

I rant and rave about what I'm mad about. Sometimes I post the postcards and letters that I get in the mail. I talk about my family and friends, my likes and dislikes. Pretty much everything.

Well it's from the Bible Verse "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;your works are wonderful,I know that full well."- Psalm 139:14. My pastor's daughter has "Wonderfully Made" tattooed on her arm and I really love that Bible verse and I hope to get a tattoo of it someday! (obviously not the same one haha).

The squeaky wheel

So at work we use these carts to put big stacks of paper on and deliver them to different areas on the floor. I try not to use it because it's too short for me and I always trip on it when I'm pushing it. Have I ever told you I'm uncoordinated?? No? Well I am. Anywho for the past week or so this cart developed a squeaky wheel which is super annoying and everytime you walk by someone they look at you like you are doing it on purpose. Yes I made the cart squeak just to annoy you and so everyone can turn and look at me! So 3 different people have called building services to get a guy up here to spray some w-d 40 on the sucker. Wellllll... this is how it went.

Caller #1- Hello we need a cart on the floor oiled it's squeaky
Building Services (BS) lady: okay we will send someone up.

No one came up

Caller #2- Hi we called last week and no one has came to fix the squeaky wheel on the cart
BS lady: Well they said they went up there but they didn't know what cart it was..

Ok now there are 2 carts on the whole freaking floor! Is it that hard? Maybe push it 2 inches and see if it squeaks?? There is really only 1 cart in this particular area so I don't know what they were so confused by.

Caller # 3- Still no one has come up
BS lady: Well I got an email from so and so and they said that you fix your own squeaky wheels.
Caller #3- Uhh okay.... where are we supposed to get some W-D 40??
BS lady: Well I don't know they said it's not their job and you fix your own.

At the same time a coordinator gets an email from someone in another department wondering if we can fix our squeaky wheel. Ugh excuse us for walking by twice with a noisy cart delivering YOUR shit. If you don't like it come and get it yourself since most of it is your shit anyway!!

So now we have to have our own can of W-D 40 I guess. Which is fine but I mean come on what the hell is maintenance for???? I realize they clean the bathrooms but apparently fixing squeaky wheels isn't part of their job description.

I was going to complain that my desk squeaks everytime I touch it but apparently I should get my own damn can to fix it myself.

Today we picked Robert Pattinson. Here's Wednesday Wickedness!

1. "I don't really see the point in washing your hair. If you don't care if your hair's clean or not then why would you wash it?" How often do you wash your hair? Mostly Everyday. The longest I will go is every other day but I feel gross.

2. "I take way too long to get dressed, like way too long. But only for things like shows or if I have to do public appearances. Like, I’m ridiculous, I’ll keep getting changed and getting changed and then I’ll just put on the same thing I wore the day before." Do you take longer to dress for a special event? Yes!! Well I just get ticked off and start throwing things around until I finally decide on some outfit that I absolutely hate.

3. "My dad's a car dealer, but I grew up in London, so I always say I don't drive…I get driven. I got a driving lesson in Oregon, and then I bought a car in L.A. and I basically learned how to drive by people honking at me. I'm terrible at driving." Are you a good driver? Hmmm I think I'm a fairly good driver. I am totally slow though and I never go over the speed limit!! I don't care if you pass me but don't get pissed off at me because I am obeying the rules.

4. "I don't spend any money. The only thing I've really bought is my car, which cost $1,500 and keeps exploding. It would be nice to buy a house for my parents, but at the same time my parents are so comfortable where they live; they would probably just feel like it was a burden. Then a super nice Camera........ Then a brand new car....Then a new house

100th blog post!!

woot woot it's my 100th blog post and it's going to be a boring one... ah well. I haven't wrote all week so I thought I should update a bit..

I had my Frenectomy on Wednesday- Not pleasant. If anyone is even remotely considering getting one done I would live with the space between your teeth. Actually the worst part was the Novocain. Ahhh I hate when they shoot it right under your nose. It makes your eyes water and you look like a big baby because it looks like you are crying. Which I wasn't!! Oh wait wait wait I have to do this play-by-play.

So I walk into the Periodontist's office through a screen door. What kind of dentist office has a screen door? It Seemed A little weird to me. The first thought I have is that it smells like pine-sol in there. I just don't think a dentist office should smell like pine-sol. I don't know what it should smell like but definitely not that. So that was strange from the beginning. Then I register and sign my life away and I take a seat on their huge leather couches in their waiting room. It was Quite comfortable if I do say so myself.

Then the nurse lady calls me back. We walk down a long hallway and this office looks sort of like an old house turned into an office. I'm not sure if that's what it is or what. Anyways the floor squeaks with the ugly carpet. Then we go into this WHITE plain White room with an old lookin’ dentists chair and a counter in the back with ugly brownish yellowish cream-colored linoleum. Seriously I am paying you 50 dollars a minute to look at my teeth you can't get some carpet or some more attractive linoleum. I finally found the source of the pine-sol. There was a puddle of water on the linoleum so I'm assuming they mopped. I should have slipped and sued them...just kidding.

So next I sit in the chair which I feel like it is going to tip backwards while the nurse gets me all prepped and takes my blood pressure which is very good considering how nervous I was.

Then the doctor comes in.

Doctor: Hi
Me: Hello
Doctor: *blink blink*
Me: nervous laughter *blink*
Doctor: So we are doing a little procedure today...
Me: Yup....I guess so
Doctor: So is it the top or bottom??
Me: Top (while thinking uhmm shouldn't he know which one he is doing?!?!?!?!)
Doctor: Asks a ton of questions about my invisaligns as if he has never seen them ever in his whole entire life...
Me: thinking aren’t invisaligns popular?? Apparently not if he doesn't even know how they work.
Nurse: Do you have dental insurance?
Me: Yes I work at an insurance company....
Nurse: Well I work in the Dental field and I don't even have dental insurance.
Me:*blink blink nervous laugh* What the hell am I supposed to say to that?? I'm sorry? The doctor was sitting right there! It was very awkward!
Doctor: Okay now I'm going to do this as quickly as possible and you are the boss tell me if everything is going okay. We will be putting two stitches in and then you will be on your way.
Me: okay let’s get this done. He had to keep telling me to relax my hands because I was clenching my fists so tight.

FYI these are NOT my teeth these look disgusting however I could have found worse pictures so quit your whining lol.

I seriously think this person has way more problems than just the frenectomy... yuck.

So at this point I'm doing pretty good after the Novocain shot and stuff I couldn't feel anything except when the stitches brushed over my lips which freaked me out. Then I see his gloves and a handful of gauze COVERED in blood and then I started freaking out in my head. He kept saying "ooh" like as in hmm that's odd.. I was sitting there like ohmigod something’s going to go wrong. Then he says well it's still bleeding a lot so I'm going to put another stitch in.

Anyways that was all hunky dory and it went fine but when the numbness wore off I was in a super amount of pain and all I had was ibuprofen to take. Plus I was at work and Heidi was making me laugh and every time I laughed it felt like my lip was being RIPPED open. It bled all day so my aligners got filled with blood it was DISGUSTING!! I'm sure you really wanted to hear that.

So it still hurts like a mofo and now it itches because HOPEFULLY it is healing although it doesn't feel like it and every time I touch the stitches with my tongue I get the heebie jeebies.

Oh and to top it all off when I got home from work yesterday my chest started burning and I started coughing and whenever I coughed it felt like I was ripping my chest open so I think I have some sort of cold/ bronchitis going on. Today the burning isn't so bad just coughing. Great of course I'm sick over a long holiday weekend. Then it feels like someone is tickling the inside of my ears with something because they tickle/itch really really bad I just want to shove a q-tip way down there.

Oh on a good note though I am pretty sure we will be driving down to Delta Colorado to see my mommy in September!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! September can't come soon enough now!!!!!!!!!

I hate waiting

So I have my frenectomy today... I'm getting really nervous. I know it will be nothing probably not even as bad as getting a stupid filling but I guess I just don't know what to expect. My appointment is at 8:00 this morning. It is 6:42 and I am thinking about leaving at 7:15 but I'm thinking that might be too early. Mapquest says it takes 10 minutes to get there but what about morning work traffic? I never take those roads so I don't know how bad it is. Either way I will probably be 30 minutes early which is why I'm writing this post so I can delay my departure time at least a little bit! I'm warning you do not look up frenectomy on Youtube ESPECIALLY if you are getting one done!! EEEK! Gives me the heebie jeebies.

So we had our picnic yesterday which actually wasn't too bad. The weather was a sunny 67 degrees with a slight breeze. We sat in the gazebo all day. I didn't realize how much I loved gazebos until yesterday...probably because I have never been in one lol. They are amazing! What a good solution for no bugs! We sat in there with all of our co-workers. I love that they have 3 different departments get together so we can all mingle with eachother but yet all 3 departments stay with their own usual group haha. The plan kind of backfired. Although the gazebo was filled with bitter angry people haha. Someone would say something that pissed someone else off and then that person would do the same. By the end of the day you could cut the tension with a knife. Not good. I sat in the corner and watched the train wreck. For instance:

J says: my daughter does all of this stuff on the internet blah blah blah

T says: J!!

K says: Hey T your son is the one with hickeys all over his neck when he's 15!!

T: Silence....

T: K I didn't want everyone to know that!

K: Well everyone already knew anyway.

Note: Everyone DID already know because T is loud and she tells stories over and over and OVER very LOUDLY!!!!! So everyone already knew.

Another instance:
T: I should get to leave 15 minutes early for drive time.

H: why?? if you leave at 4 it would be just like leaving from work.

T: Yeah but I should get 15 minutes for drive time!!

H: why???? you don't get paid to drive home any other day why should you today??

T: Fine I'll just shut up then.

Note: she was actually quiet the rest of the day and you could tell she was just fuming because we didn't agree with her.

Oh what a wonderful day!

Time for me to brush my teeth!! Wish me luck at the periodontist!

A Non-Fiction Book

Wellll I don't really read non-fiction books all that much. I guess I would say Laugh your way to a better marriage by Mark Gungor. I haven't read the whole thing but I saw his seminar and it is excellent!

Now I realize that Memoirs aren't really considered non-fiction and there are probably a lot of them that aren't true but I have been really into reading them lately. I just got done reading "Stolen Innocence" by Elissa Wall. That was a super book and now I'm reading Escape by Carolyn Jessop. It's super super! Very sad but very interesting!

So tomorrow we have to go to a picnic for work from 11:30-4. Yes I know we get paid for it. I know we get to miss work for it but honestly I would rather stay at work and work all day than go to a picnic. First of all I HATE eating outside. There are bugs and yucky stuff out there. It's hot and humid. I will be sweating my butt off all day. I don't mind being outside for say 10 minutes at a time but anything longer than that I turn into a huge hot sweating crabby baby. I hate all bugs. I'm allergic to bees so everytime I see anything that even resembles a buzzing object I freak out and start running around screaming. I hate it! Ugh.

My friend is all excited to be sitting out in the sun all day. Um no thanks! I prefer air conditioning. I would like our house to be at 66 all of the time with a fan blowing on me. Most people freeze in that temperature but I call it perfect. I can snuggle up on the couch with a blankie and there is no sweating or hotness. I guess we will be able to text eachother and complain about how annoying the other people there are but that doesn't take away the hot humid weather at all.

Ugh that's my rant for today. I guess we will see how tomorrow goes.

Oh and Wednesday I have to get a frenectomy. I'm not really scared I just can't wait to get the damn thing over with so I can stop thinking about it and HOPEFULLY my front teeth will stay together and I can stop wearing my invisaligns yippeee!! I am very tired of them! Plus I have had this one set of trays in for 2 months now and it is starting to crack. It is very annoying.

I have loved them all except her very first one which is called Songs of the Humpback whale. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't the best book I have ever read. Eek I'm a little behind on this. Mainly because Day 12 is something you are OCD about and I have way too many things but yet I couldn't think of one! haha. I know that doesn't make sense but I'm weird so that explains it.

Let's see I hate when my hands are dirty and I need to wash my hands like 40 times when I'm making supper.

I can't finish eating chicken if I find something yucky in it.

I can't sleep at night if the blankets aren't right on the bed. It has to be the sheet the right way, then a fuzzy blanket that's also the right way, then our comforter. They are all on the floor by morning but they have to be right before I can go to bed.

I can't have my food touching on my plate!! Nothing! Especially something like Jello and hamburger yuck makes me gag just thinking about it.

So okay that's kind of a weird question but this morning in the shower I realized I am almost out of shampoo and conditioner and I need to get some more tonight. Right now I'm using Sexy Curly Hair or something like that which is VERY expensive and I just can't spend that again. It smells wonderful though! So I'm just wondering what kind of Shampoo and condition you guys use??? My hair gets greasy feeling really fast. It's very thick and VERY curly. Any suggestions??

Well since I have absolutely NOTHING to do at work I will write a blog post. We are so absolutely slow at work and it really really scares me!! EEEKKK. We haven’t had any layoffs as of yet but who knows… It just keeps getting slower and slower and S……...L…...O……..W……E….R.

Anywho I have been listening to a radio show with a pastor on it. His name is Mark Gungor and he gives advice on Marriage. He is seriously wacky! It is definitely not a show for children! They talk about Sex, Masturbation, Love, Marriage Etc… He is a pastor from Green Bay, WI and he also travels around doing Laugh your Way to a Better Marriage Seminars which is where we saw him. I have been listening to his radio show every since. I absolutely love it! He is hilarious! All of his advice is basic common sense but I just like hearing all of the questions these people have. Some of them drive me crazy!!

Well Carrie sent me a text last night at 8:21pm when I was already in bed and she yelled at me and said my blog posts are getting shorter. Hmmmm...... I have nothing exciting to say! Nothing exciting has been going on at all! No one has been super annoying at work... this blocker on Blogger is SUPER annoying though. They don't block Google reader though so I can still check that all day mwuahahaha. BUT photo bucket and flickr are blocked so if there are any pictures in the post I just have to imagine what they look like..... a very detailed description under the picture would be very much appreciated. Just kidding I just look at them when I get home!

We went to the Carrie Underwood concert last Thursday that was super fun. I don't think I wrote about that yet. First off Sons of Sylvia were on the stage. They were pretty good but at one point the lead singer was on his knees and like humping the air and I think it was supposed to be attractive but it looked very very lame. Apparently my new favorite word is Lame because I have been using it WAY too much lately.

After Sons of Sylvia were done Craig Morgan came running out from the crowd and ran up to the stage. I was very sad I wasn't on the floor for this concert. He was very good. I don't think he is very attractive but at one point he was singing a song with the lyrics "I'm easy like a Sunday morning" and while he was singing that he turned around and moved his hips... OMG I would definitely not kick him out of bed for eating crackers. Moving on...

Carrie was very good too! I've been to two of her concerts now and she uses a lot of props and changes clothes a lot! She was swinging on a swing that came down from the ceiling, she went out over the crowd in a flying blue truck (that was the best), she came up from the stage floor a dozen or so times and the first time there was a red velvet couch thing on there. That part of the stage also would rise up off the floor and go back down and move all over it was really neat. The band was also on a platform type thing that moved all over. It was super good!

Hmmm what else??? I told the ladies at work that Jake and Vienna from the bachelor broke up and I thought Willie was going to have a heart attack! Then I had to go find out why but at that point yesterday all it said was that their rep said "The couple has split and they ask you to respect their privacy at this time." REALLY???? You went on a freaking reality show you do not deserve to have privacy when it concerns your relationship! I'm sorry but I really don't think they should EXPECT people to respect their privacy when they went on the show to meet someone! Ugh. That is super annoying.

I'm not sure of all the details but a lady... we will call her TT... she came to work saying that her son had an anxiety attack because her boyfriend wouldn't let him play with the XBox... I'm sorry but if your child has an anxiety attack from not being able to play a video game there is something seriously wrong there. I can see being upset and mad but a full blown anxiety attack crazy. Yes I have had anxiety attacks before.

There is another lady at work that has this gross phlegmy smokers cough and she’s had it for like 2 years but it's been worse because apparently she’s sick or something but it makes me want to puke every time I hear it and it happens every 2 minutes I'm not even joking! Mainly because she is a BIZZO and I can't stand her. I know I should love all people but she is a super crabby lady and I've tried to be nice but she is a big tattletale! She is nice to your face and then she goes and talks to everyone else about you. Anyways then she coughs all over and doesn't cover her mouth. Yuck! Then 2 weeks ago she was coughing and blowing her nose all over and we were having a treat day pot luck thing at work and she didn't wash her hands or anything and just dug right in to the food! She never uses the serving utensil there either she just digs her fingers right in. She doesn't pour the crackers out of the box she shoves her whole hand and arm in it... needless to say I was done eating after that it was disgusting!!!

Okay I'm done. I know I'm mean but this is where I put my thoughts and feelings so I don't bottle them up inside and blow up! Anywhoooo I'm going to eat my applesauce is this a long enough post for you Carrie??? Haha have a great day everyone!!

Today is Day 8 and the Journal topic is A picture that makes you angry/sad. So today I have sort of an unusual photo....

This is a picture of me and my mom! This was taken like 2 years ago but we don't have very many good pictures together. Anyways this picture makes me sad because I miss my mom. She lives in Colorado with her husband. They moved there last March to be closer to his family. It makes me mad that she would move. It makes me mad that we have good jobs and a house so it makes it very difficult to move there to be with her. It makes me mad that her husband would even consider taking my mom away from her family.

Don't get me wrong we are very blessed to have great great jobs and an awesome house I love all of those things but I want to be by my mom so bad that it makes it very hard when we have these things. What if we wouldn't be able to find good jobs in Colorado? I would feel like it is all my fault. What if we don't have good enough credit to buy another house?

It does give us the opportunity to travel more but we don't have enough money to do it very often. Before they moved her husband said they would come back up here all of the time. I think they've been back up here twice since they moved. I guess that's better than nothing, but it still really sucks. We can't afford to move again. Who knows if we would be able to sell our house if we ever decided to move. They don't own a house or have jobs down there. I wish they would just move back.

I'm sure this sounds immature but I don't care I miss my mom :(. I am very thankful she is still alive and healthy and well but I'm selfish and I want to be by her. So when I look at that picture it makes me happy, sad, and mad all at the same time.

1. I am making Cheeseburger hotdish for supper. It smells delish! Although while I was browning the hamburger it totally made me nauseous. I suppose you want the recipe huh?

1lb ground beef
1 Cup Milk
1/2 cup Bisquick or some other type of pancake mix stuff
2 eggs
1 cup shredded cheese.

Brown the hamburger and drain all the gross yucky grease. Then I add a dash of salt, pepper, enough ketchup to lightly coat hamburger, a tad of mustard, a few shakes of worshteshirrehskossere sauce I can't even pronounce it I don't think I can spell it, some red pepper flakes, and whatever else you feel like putting in there. I honestly just start dumping stuff in there.

Okay next you put it in the bottom of a pie plate. HOWEVER I tried that and it was too small and all of the batter mix went all over the counter...yes it was lovely. So I am using a casserole dish. Anyways you put the hamburger on the bottom of the dish then I sprinkle the cheese over it. I use more than 1 cup but the recipe calls for one cup.

In a medium bowl mix the pancake mix, 2 eggs, and milk together. pour over the hamburger!

Okie Dokie now the recipe I have says to bake at 400 for 25 minutes... well I had to bake it for an hour last time because it wasn't done.

2. Moving on... work was alright today although I'm pretty sure they got some new program to block websites are work because now blogger.com is restricted for 60 minutes a day but you can only do it in 10 minute increments so after 10 minutes you have to go click a button for 10 more minutes. How lame is that?? I feel like I'm back in school. I realize they don't want people (me) wasting all day on there but why don't they just block the whole thing than? Oh and they blocked photobucket and flickr so when anyone posts pictures from those sites they don't show up. Also they block any sites that are wordpress sites because it's "social networking".

They also blocked all radio station and tv websites too. I thought if they blocked all of those they should block ebay and craigslist too but noooo. I guess I should be glad I have an hour which is totally enough time I just think it's really lame that you have to go press a button every 10 minutes. I feel like I'm on LOST! haha.

3. My BFF Carrie is moving to Texas in two days. I'm still coming up with a master plan to make her stay..

4. There is nothing good on TV tonight. I'm watching Hell's Kitchen.

5. I should put the clean laundry away but I don't feel like it.

6. I get to see Carrie Underwood on Thursday night I am SO excited!!

7. I don't have to work on Friday I am even MORE excited about that!

8. My aunt called me today and told me they bought a house! I thought she was going to say she was pregnant but I guess not haha. It was just strange because I think that's the 2nd time she has ever called me in my life. Our family just doesn't call each other often. When we do it's a lot of yeps, ums, and so's. Plus I am NOT a fan of talking on the phone. I make Albert call places lol.

9. Hell's Kitchen gives me an anxiety attack.

Here is my beautiful wedding ring. It's actually my second ring... The band on my first one broke so I used the big diamond from my mom's wedding band from when she married my dad and the little diamonds on the side are from my first wedding ring.

Well today's journal entry is your favorite book. I absolutely love reading!! It's way too hard to pick just one favorite.

My Favorite Author so far is Jodi Picoult. I have read all of her books except the newest one. I have read all of the Sookie Stackhouse Novels by Charlaine Harris. I also love the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer.

Lately I have been reading Memoir-type books. I love reading true stories about people's lives...I'm a pretty nosey person haha! I just got done reading Stolen Innocense by Elissa Wall. It was about a girl that grew up in a polygamist sect and left when she was 18 I think. It tells about her marriage at 14 to a man that she hated. It was one of the best books that I have read in a long while.

Today I started a book called "Escape" by Carolyn Jessop. It's another book about a girl from the same polygamist sect. Haha apparently that's quite interesting to me.

I usually pick books that have bright colorful simple covers. I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but I do lol.

16. Tell me about your most recent trip of more than 100 miles? We went to Las Vegas in January. It was our first time on an airplane and my mom and her hubby drove down there and met us there. We stayed at the Excalibur Monday through Friday. It was a blast! We didn't win any money really but we didn't gamble a whole lot either.

Well I have too many TV shows that are my favorite. I do not have just one and there is no way I could pick just one! So here we go:

Big Brother--- I know not many people like this show but it is my most favorite reality show ever. I have watched it like the last 5 years and it makes me very sad that they don't make DVD seasons of it!! Dear CBS please make DVD Season's of Big Brother so I can watch them September through June when it isn't on TV.

LOST- That was one of my favorites but now it's not on so it's not really my favorite anymore..

WEEDS-- A showtime show. I love Nancy Bottwin and her yummy ice coffee! I mean look how darn cute she is!

Not to mention her son! HOTT

Okay my next favorite show which starts up tomorrow on HBO is TrueBlood!!

I have read all of the Sookie Stackhouse Novels Except the newest one. I'm waiting for it to come out in paperback so it's cheaper......because I'm cheap like that..

Well I love a lot of movies. I will watch pretty much anything. I'm not a big fan of action movies though. I'm watching Annie right now haha. Good Ole Netflix I love it!

Well my favorite Children's movie is Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. The old one not the new one obviously because the new one is called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The new one is good too but there's nothing like the old one.

My most recent favorite movie is The Blindside. I absolutely LOVE that movie. I watched it 5 times the first day we got it. I like most movies that Chris Farley was in. I love the Twilight movies too!

Well that's all... the day went perfectly except for the pastor calling me Karen during the Ceremony twice and once during the prayer before the meal. Karen is Albert's mom's name lol. He still does it once in a while but I still love him haha. Hope you enjoy my pictures.

1. I just got done watching the Season Premier of The Secret life of a Teenager. Looks like it's going to be a fabulous season.

2. I am watching Pretty little Liars now. Looks creepy!

3. A Van drove through the doors at the Stop N Go by our house today!

4. I have to go to the dentist 3 times this month.

5. The Maintenance guy was vacuuming the ceiling at work the other day....weird.

6. I just talked to my mom for an hour and 35 minutes.......I miss her :(

7. I got two letters in the mail today and a postcard!

8. I am too lazy to make Hamburger Helper tonight for supper so I told Albert to bring home a pizza...how sad is that???

Does anyone know where I can get some inexpensive Stationery?? Either online or in a store however I have pretty much looked at all of the stores here and I can't find anything! Where does everyone always get their cool paper??

Anyhoodle I have a dentist appointment today. I swear I just had one but they called me yesterday and said I have a cleaning again. Apparently my insurance covers 4 cleanings a year... no thanks I'd rather do two but they always schedule me for 4 and since I can't speak up for myself I just go along with it. I mean hey free teeth cleaning right??? I despise going to the dentist though. The upside is that I get to miss a meeting today woot woot!

So I have a plant on my desk well I have 3 actually and I didn't water them for like 2 weeks so now they are dying.....I can't keep anything alive. I watered them yesterday hoping they would perk up again but I'm not so sure.

Well it's 7:03 I better get to work!

Okay Okay one more thing! We desperately need a new couch! The one that we have is falling apart and creeky and there are holes in it. This is the one I NEED!!!! Albert I NEED it!

LOOK at those cushions! Do they not look like pillows in Heaven?? I just want to lay on it and take a nap. It would definitely be a good napping couch!! I love couches..

So we are having a potluck type treat day food day thing at work next week and I can't think of anything to make and bring. I don't want any sweets because 3 people are already bringing those of course.. I don't know why we need more than one person to bring something sweet but apparently we do. Anyways there are people already bringing Chips, cold meat for sandwiches, buns, mayo, cheese, etc. and I WAS going to bring Jalapeno roll-ups but Heidi stole my recipe that I stole from someone else so now Heidi is bringing them! Darn her lol.

So does anyone have any good recipes for dips or appetizer type things? I would rather not bring a crockpot because all I have is a huge one and it's too much work for my laziness. I don't want anything sweet either. Any suggestions?? Anyone?? I would appreciate it soooooooo much!

Okay so it's not a serious problem but first off I just had this pop into my head. When you have to introduce yourself in front of a group of people and you say "My name is... and I live....." Do you ever feel like you are in Alcoholics Anonymous? Lol. "My name is Katie and I'm an Alcoholic".

Okay my second thought is that I just spilled a bunch of sprite on my keyboard at work and I am praying it doesn't ruin it :S oops.

Okay so my problem is that I am too ~~late~~ EARLY for everything!! I know a lot of people have problems with always running late but I seriously am way too early for everything. I get to work at 6 AM every morning and I dont' start until 7! Why you ask? I really have no idea I just feel like if I don't get here early I will be rushing plus it gives me time to check my email, blog, read, etc. I know I could just do it at home but I just seem to get more done when I am at work. I'm not getting paid between 6 and 7 or anything I just don't have any other distractions I think.

So work isn't the only thing that I am early for. When I go for appointments to anything I am at LEAST 30 minutes early. If I am anymore than that I usually get there and sit in my car until 30 minutes before my Appointment and then go in just because I don't want them to think I'm psycho for being there that early. Also I don't want them to think that I expect to get in early just because I'm there early I just like getting to places early! However I do usually get into my appointments earlier if I get there early.

I suppose this is better than being late for everything but I think I need help lol.

Lazy Sunday

Hello everyone. I have been sitting here for an hour trying to figure out something exciting to write and nothing has came to me so I thought I would write about a bunch of nothingness. I didn't wake up until noon today that was very nice however I really don't like waking up late like that because I feel like the whole day is wasted then. Albert left for work at 12:10 and the cats and I have been chillin' on the couch since then...for two hours. I should really get up and take a shower but I have no motivation at all. I don't really have anywhere I need to be.

Heidi sent me a text earlier asking how to make my Jalapeno roll-ups and now I really want some of those haha. I hate jalapenos and onions but the roll-ups have both but they are still soooooooooo delicious! My grandma even actually liked them and she criticizes EVERYTHING!!

I really want to write some letters so I can decorate envelopes but I don't have anyone I need to write to.

I am watching the Indy 500. I have never watched any of these races ever but it's pretty good I guess. When they get in an accident they are pretty much done for. Their cars just crush into nothing.

Well that's all I got for today.....yawn

Hello all! Is it Friday yet?? Uffdah it's been a long week already. We hardly have any work to do and I am extremely tired!!! Plus these people at work are driving me insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This morning a lady....we will call her....May just because I can well she noticed last night that one of her plants had been murdered! It's some sort of plant that crawls up a trellis but for the life of me I can not rememebr what the darn thing is called anyways someone apparently went in her yard sometime between last night and the day before and just sliced right through the stems at the bottom! They didn't take anything they didn't tear anything apart they just sliced right through them and left oh and she had another plant that had died and it looked like they had cut it down closer to the ground......

I laughed........who would seriously just go into someones yard and take a huge knife and with one swift motion just slice through the vines??? I mean really?? It just makes me laugh imagining that happening. Then they are walking past this dead plant and say oh my that looks like it needs a trim...

Well this other lady......we will call her.....Willie......because she looks like Willie Nelson. Said Oh My God! Then she asked if May's husband had trimmed the yard lately and May said yes he did but I asked him and he said "why would I kill those?? I LOVE those plants" Okay for one do you really think if he accidentally sliced through them that he would tell her??? He doesn't want his butt kicked.

So "Willie" says "Oh my God that is so heartbreaking! That's like someone killing your kitty or your puppy!"..........What was that??? you just compared a stem to a kitty or puppy's life....very nice. I'm sorry but if someone is holding a knife up to my plant's stem and they say stop or I will slice!! I'm probably not going to really care..

So then we move on to American Idol. So we have three women who are very obsessed with American Idol. Again Willie, May, and then another lady I can't think of anymore names right now. Well in Fargo the Fox station was out. They had some power outtage issue and blah blah so to make a long story short AI didn't air and people were very upset about it.

Yes I was mad about it but really what are you gonna do??? So they are all freaking out because "they should have played the show in it's entirety when the station came back on" Yeah so then you can piss off all of the Glee fans and the people that watch the news.... Hello I don't think they want to make anyone ELSE mad it's bad enough with the AI fans. I know it's hard to believe but not EVERYONE likes American Idol. Anyways so then they say "well they could have played it in the middle of the night"... do you really think you would have been awake to watch it willie and the other lady?!?!?! I highly doubt it..

So Fox is now going to play it again tonight at 5PM. Well I can just hear willie now.......well I won't be home what a stupid time! No one is home at that time!! Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Well if anyone is still reading my long rant Alberto and I are going to the races tonight.....dirt track racing yesssssssssssss !! I'm pretty excited although I will miss the results show of AI. Oh well I will hear who wins I'm sure. Hopefully Albert will take some pictures at the races then I can post them!.

Good morning everyone! Is it really only Wednesday? Uffdah. I'm ready for Friday. I am sooo tired. Anyways, over the past couple months we have had 4 or 5 twin homes around us go up for sale and be sold. Our neighbors that were attached to us were 3 college guys that were really nice and they weren't really loud or anything so I was sad when they moved out. They were just renting the house though. So before we knew who our new neighbors would be I said that I hope they don't have dogs and Albert said or kids. We aren't really grumpy people I just hate when people have dogs and they let them poop in everyone else's yard without cleaning it up. I said kids would be okay but I'm at a point right now where I don't like other peoples kids lol. It will change when I have my own kids....I hope. I told my mom about this little problem and she said she still feels that way lol!

So on Monday I get home from work and Albert tells me that he met the new neighbors. So he starts telling me a little about them and then he says oh they have two dogs and two kids. Great! So we left and went to eat and we came back and the kids were riding around on little hot wheels scooters and one boy was beating up the other boy with a toy sword....wow they must be well behaved....not.

I promise it's not really the kids that I don't like it's the kids that never get any discipline and their parents just block out their annoyingness like they don't even hear it!

Well it's now wednesday and I still haven't seen the dogs so it isn't so bad. Next time I'm going to keep my mouth shut.

Okay this post is going to be mostly pictures because we went to Albert's brothers birthday party Yesterday. It went pretty well. Kids screaming everywhere in a pool. What could be better? I could name a few things... haha just kidding I think Daniel had fun and that's all that counts. Then when we got home we planted some peppers and tomatoes and some bleeding hearts that we had bought at the greenhouse yesterday.

Open, I tend to feel claustrophobic if all the doors are closed. I know I'm weird

2. Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotels?
Of course. I take the pens too. Hello I'm paying 90 dollars a night to sleep in a bed that a million other people have slept in. They are making enough money off of me I am definitely taking all of the free stuff that I can lol.

3. Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?
Out because 5 minutes after we get in bed they would be untucked anyways.

4. Would you rather be attacked by a bear or a swarm of bees?
Well since I'm deathly allergic to bees I think I would have a better chance with a bear. Either way I would probably pass out when I saw them.

yes lots... I hate them!

6. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Oh man I have too many.......talking on your cell phone in a store and not watching where you are going, rude people

Yes, not for a long long long time though

No, I like to fill up when before it gets to half.

uh yes lol

I don't think I ever had a bought costume. I was lamb chops one year, a scarecrow, a clown....um I can't think of the others

I can count in spanish... that's about it

Okay so it's only Thursday BUT I don't have to work tomorrow so it's almost the weekend for meeee. We are going to my aunt's college graduation tomorrow so I won't be here woot woot. I love days off from work.

Then on Saturday We are going to Albert's brother's 4th birthday party and on Sunday we are going to Lisbon to my Great Grandma's 90th birthday party. I hope the weather is nice. It has been raining for two weeks straight here I think haha. Oh well it should be a good weekend!

I got lots and lots of mail this week!!! Okay not lots but more than I have gotten in a long time that wasn't bills or crappy magazines!! I also sent some more out! Eeeek I LOVE getting mail.

Post Muse sent me this postcard for her orphaned postcard project that you can check out here. I am thrilled to be able to contribute to the project!!

This scanned image doesn't do the card justice. They are fan ferns in the Everglades! Aren't they so awesome looking??!? I also got this card from Post Muse. I was so thrilled to receive this today!

2. Add your blog name and the URL of your TTA post to the MckLinky below.
